Our first joint exhibition with TCK by Kıraç delivered strong international interest — including a standout inquiry from the Emirates
Plovdiv, Bulgaria — June 2026
When we signed our distribution agreement with TCK by Kıraç A.Ş. during SAHA 2026 in Istanbul, we knew the partnership would move fast. Just weeks later, we were side by side again — this time at HEMUS 2026 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, where I represented Nordic Deployment at the TCK stand for three intense and rewarding days.
About HEMUS 2026
HEMUS — the International Defence Equipment and Services Exhibition — is Bulgaria’s premier defence and security trade fair, held at the International Fair Plovdiv. Now in its seventeenth edition, the exhibition is organised under the auspices of the Bulgarian Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Economy and Industry, and Ministry of Innovation and Growth. For more than 30 years, HEMUS has served as a strategic meeting point at the crossroads of Europe and the Middle East, bringing together government institutions, armed forces, defence industry leaders, and academia across land, air, naval systems, cybersecurity, border security, and autonomous technologies.
The exhibition draws both regional and international visitors, and this year was no exception.
Strong Interest — and a Standout Inquiry from the Emirates
From the first day, our stand attracted steady interest from local Bulgarian defence professionals and international delegations alike. But the highlight came when we received a visit from the official defence delegation from the United Arab Emirates. They had a very specific need: inflatable hangars capable of operating in extreme desert heat — environments where temperatures can reach 75 degrees Celsius.
This is exactly the kind of challenge that drives us at Nordic Deployment. Our Norwegian-engineered inflatable systems are built for harsh conditions, but 75°C pushes us into new territory. We are now actively working on a solution to meet this requirement — developing materials and design specifications that can handle sustained extreme heat while maintaining the rapid deployment and portability that define our products. It is an exciting engineering challenge, and we look forward to delivering on it.
Three Days of Meetings, Rain, and Crowds
The weather in Plovdiv was hot — fitting for a week focused on heat-resistant hangars — with occasional rain showers. But the weather did not slow anyone down. Visitors came in strong numbers across all three days, with the second day clearly drawing the largest crowds. The walkways between stands were packed, meetings ran back to back, and there was a genuine energy throughout the exhibition grounds.
Getting to Know Our Partners
Beyond the business meetings and product discussions, HEMUS 2026 was also an invaluable chance to strengthen the relationship with our partners at TCK by Kıraç. Working together at a stand for three days is one of the best ways to really get to know the people behind a partnership.
Mr. Serkan, one of the main owners of TCK by Kıraç, was present throughout the exhibition, along with Mr. Ali Usman, their General Manager. Spending time together on the exhibition floor — meeting clients, discussing strategy, and sharing meals after long days — gave us a much deeper understanding of each other’s way of working. This is a partnership built not only on a signed agreement, but on personal trust and shared ambition.
TCK by Kıraç is our authorised distributor across 11 countries spanning Turkey, the Balkans, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Having been at both SAHA in Istanbul and now HEMUS in Plovdiv together, I can say with confidence that this partnership is growing stronger with every exhibition we attend side by side.
Looking Ahead
HEMUS 2026 confirmed what we already believed: there is strong and growing demand for rapid deployment inflatable systems in this region. The Emirates inquiry in particular opens an exciting new product development direction for us.
Nordic Deployment will continue attending key defence exhibitions throughout 2026. Next up are DALO Industry Days in Denmark and MSPO in Poland — and we look forward to bringing even more solutions to the table.
Stay tuned. There is much more to come.
